Nature of Information:

Fraudsters often lure people with unbelievable offers, adorable discounts and thrilling money returns. In this unadorned online word, it is just a child’s play for these criminals to trap people to invest in such deceitful websites which promises to return money high interests. These cybercriminals only have their digital presence and they swiftly disappear once the investment is made by the people.

Tactics of Cyber Criminals:

• Cybercriminals purchase domains with attractive names and make people to invest money in the portal promising higher interest rates.

• The invested persons are then offered higher rewards to refer the website to their friends.

• Once they signed up in the portal and invest money, mail is sent to them.

• They soon will be added to a WhatsApp group with a similar looking name.

• Positive massages are posted in WhatsApp group to gain confidence among investors and make them to refer their friends.

• The cybercriminals promise that they will invest in Bitcoin and returns the money with higher interest rates.

• Once a lumpsum amount is invested in the portal, there will be no update about the money and the persons contacts will not be reachable.

Suggested precautions:

• If something is too good to be true, there may be a chance that you are likely to be trapped. So, Be cautions!

• If you do not actually know a person physically and you only know their digital presence, never refer them to your friends. This will also affect your credibility in the society.

• If something is offered with greater benefits, spend some time, think and take a rational decision. Make use of trusted establishments like “Kaavalan SOS” or “Dial 100”

• If you are a victim of such scams, file a complaint on https://cybercrime.gov.in/

மோசடி செய்பவர்கள் பெரும்பாலும் நம்பமுடியாத சலுகைகள்¸ கவர்ச்சி யான தள்ளுபடிகள் மற்றும் பரபரப்பான பண வருவாயைக் கொண்டு மக்களை ஈர்க்கிறார்கள்.

செலுத்திய பணத்துடன் அதிக பலன்களை திருப்பித் தருவதாக போலியாக உறுதியளித்து¸ வஞ்சக வலைத்தளங்களின் மூலம் முதலீடு செய்ய மக்களை சிக்க வைப்பது போன்றவை இந்த குற்றவாளிகளுக்கு கைவந்த கலையாகும்.

இந்த சைபர் கிரிமினல்கள் அவற்றின் டிஜிட்டல் இருப்பை மட்டுமே கொண்டுள்ளன. மக்களால் முதலீடு செய்யப்பட்டவுடன் அவை விரைவாக மறைந்துவிடும்.

சைபர் குற்றவாளிகளின் தந்திரங்கள்:

• சைபர் குற்றவாளிகள் கவர்ச்சிகரமான பெயர்களுடன் வலைதள பக்கத்தினை வாங்கி¸ அதிக வட்டி விகிதங்களை உறுதியளிக்கும் வகையில் மக்களை முதலீடு செய்ய வைக்கின்றன.

முதலீடு செய்யப்பட்ட நபர்களுக்கு வலைத்தளத்தை தங்கள் நண்பர்களுக்கு பரிந்துரைக்க அதிக வெகுமதிகள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.

அவர்களின் இணைய முகப்பில் பதிவுசெய்து பணத்தை முதலீடு செய்தவுடன்¸ அவர்களுக்கு மின்னஞ்சல் அனுப்பப்படுகிறது.

அவ்வாறு பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட நண்பர்கள் அனைவரும வாட்ஸ்அப் குழுவில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டு¸முதலீட்டாளர்களிடையே நம்பிக்கையைப் பெறுவதற்கும் அவர்களின் நண்பர்களைக் குறிப்பிடுவதற்கும் வாட்ஸ்அப் குழுவில் நேர்மறையான தகவல்கள் வெளியிடப்படுகின்றன.

சைபர் குற்றவாளிகள் முதலீடு செய்யப்பட்ட பணத்தை பிட்காயினில் முதலீடு செய்வதாக உறுதியளித்து¸ அதிக வட்டி விகிதத்துடன் பணத்தை திருப்பித் தருவதாக கூறுகிறார்கள். இவற்றையெல்லாம் உண்மை என நம்பி, ஒரு பெரிய தொகையை அந்த வலைபக்கத்தில் முதலீடு செய்தவுடன் பணத்தைப் பற்றி எந்த தகவலும் இருக்காது மற்றும் அந்த நபர்கள் தொடர்பு கொள்ளவும் முடியாது.

பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட முன்னெச்சரிக்கைகள்:

நீங்கள் உண்மையில் ஒரு நபரை நேரடியாக அறியவில்லை மற்றும் அவர்களின் டிஜிட்டல் இருப்பை மட்டுமே அறிந்திருந்தால்¸ அவர்களை உங்கள் நண்பர்களிடம் ஒருபோதும் பரிந்துரைக்க வேண்டாம். இது சமூகத்தில் உங்கள் நம்பகத்தன்மையையும் பாதிக்கும்.
